If you’d like to access psychological services with Medicare rebates, follow these simple steps: Step 1: Visit Your GP Book an appointment with your regular GP to discuss your mental health concerns. During the appointment, share your challenges and ask for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Your GP will assess your needs and develop the MHCP to ensure you receive the appropriate support. Request a referral to Wei Lu Ensure the referral includes your name, the GP's details, and Wei Lu's details. Step 2: Receive Your Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) The MHCP allows you to claim Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Your GP may initially refer you for 6 sessions. If further sessions are needed, they can review and extend the plan. Your MHCP (or let us know your GP will send it directly). Your Medicare card details (to process rebates or bulk billing if eligible). Step 4: Attend Your Appointment All sessions are conducted via Telehealth video calls for your convenience. Ensure you are in a quiet, private space for the call. Step 5: Claim Your Medicare Rebate For eligible patients, the rebate of $96.65 will be processed after each session. If you qualify for bulk billing, you won’t have any out-of-pocket costs.
Counselling under Workcover/CTP
If you had a workplace injury or an motor vehicle accident, and is experiencing mental health issues as a result, you may be eligible for treatment covered by insurance.
If you’d like to access psychological services under WorkCover or CTP insurance, here’s a step-by-step guide to get started: Step 1: Report Your Injury WorkCover: Notify your employer about your injury or condition. Submit a claim through your state’s WorkCover authority. CTP (Compulsory Third Party): File a claim with the CTP insurer related to your motor vehicle accident. Provide details of the accident and your injuries. Step 2: Referral to Wei Lu Ask your GP to provide a referral to Wei Lu The referral should include: Your name. The insurer’s details. Wei Lu’s details. Step 3: Obtain Approval for Psychological Treatment Ensure your GP includes a referral for psychological services in their report to the insurer. Step 4: Contact Wei Lu Reach out to schedule an appointment: Phone: 0406 666 282 (text only) Email: admin@weilu.com.au Provide: Your referral letter. Approval details from the insurer (claim number, insurer’s contact information). Case manager’s contact information (if applicable). Step 5: Attend Your Appointment All sessions are conducted via Telehealth video calls for convenience and flexibility. Ensure you have a quiet, private space for the video call. Step 6: Billing and Fees Treatment costs are directly billed to the insurer, meaning no out-of-pocket expenses for you (subject to insurer approval). We will manage invoicing and communication with your insurer to make the process stress-free.
